The thing I like about this image is the shadow. The shadow allows us to be aware of things without actually seeing them, for example in this image we are aware that a tree is close by because of the shadow it casts, we can't actually see it. Shadows, although they are just images created through a direct obstruction to the original light source don't always directly correlate with the object that makes them. In this image the dappled light across the iron roof alludes to sunshine reflected on the surface of a pool of water or a watercolour painting. They're changeable, temporary and under appreciated.
