A Trip to the Sky

A few days ago one of my oldest friends took me with her to photograph the beach. It wasn't until we were there that I realised the beach does not speak to me in the same way some other areas do, though I do strive to find beauty in everything and the beach is an obvious choice. 

I think subconsciously I avoided the beach in someways. I photographed the sky. The sky is this never-ending mass of light that is constantly changing and evolving. Looking back on my photographs I have always been photographing the sky even as young as 10. 

These images are many different versions of the same sky. The play on light and colour is in the end, what fascinates me. It is interesting to note the final image is of the ocean, it is always said that the sky and the ocean reflect each other, there is a connection here not only in texture, colour and appearance but almost a dependence. One could not be without the other.
