Friends

Working in creative industries you are surrounded by people who are doing interesting and upcoming things. Friends with Deficits most recent show at The Old Fitzroy was exciting and showed an interesting development in their performance repertoire. I photographed the evening and here is a sampler:

Hold hands

Forcing friends down alleys in Brisbane quite often turns out nice results.

Tiny things

I am continually inspired by the smallest things. 

I have a lovely light-filled kitchen and sometimes the smallest details leap out at you. 

The morning light falling on some pale petals or the porcelain crispness of an eggshell.

Flattened

This is the continuation of an exploration of one of my favourite places on Earth. 

In this small series I love the flatness of the landscape, the clear division of colour and the consistent beauty of film.

Brisbane

The other weekend I went up to Brisbane to watch some brilliant friends of mine. 

Friends with Deficits is an excellent group of emerging performers who just finished a run of performances at the Brisbane Festival.
